Biosecurity is the protection of industries, the environment and public well-being, health, amenity and safety from the negative impacts of pests, diseases and weeds. Bringing animals to Flinders Island is regulated by Tasmania State animal biosecurity regulations. Flinders Island has special additional requirements for the importation of cattle, goats and camalids (including alpacas) even from Tasmania.
Please see the DPIWE biosecurity page for further information - www.dpipwe.tas.gov.au
