Flinders Council’s Community Development staff aims to foster healthy, thriving and safe communities within the Flinders Municipality. Council provides leadership, services and support that contribute to the wellbeing and sustainability of the Furneaux community and its environment.

Council works to create and maintain productive relationships within the community, local organisations and business, and other service providers. By encouraging local leadership, increasing participation in community life and building civic pride, Council hopes to support the sense of security, economic viability, social inclusiveness and the health and wellbeing of its communities.
