Flinders Local Provisions Schedule
Decision of Tasmanian Planning Commission to Flinders Council
On 21 April 2022 the Tasmanian Planning Commission (the Commission) provided its decision, regarding the Flinders Local Provisions Schedule (LPS), to Flinders Council.

Seven days after the Commission approves draft LPS and directs substantial modifications to be prepared as amendments the LPS comes into affect. Further details on the process can be found here.

Exhibition of Substantial Modifications
The Commission has advised Council that it considers the seven draft amendments have been prepared in the terms specified in the notice under section 35KB(1) of the Act and have directed the planning authority, under section 40G [section 35KB(4)(b)(i)] of the Act that to publicly exhibit the draft amendments. Below are the documents contained within the exbitibtion material:
Representations can be made in writing to the General Manager, Flinders Council from Wednesday 7 september 2022 until close of business Wednesday, 5 October 2022 and submitted to:
- PO Box 40, 4 Davies Street, Whitemark TAS 7255; or
Matters not taken to be representations include: (a) a representation to the effect that the content of a provision of the SPPs should be altered [section 40J(4)]; (b) a matter that does not relate to the contents or merit of the draft LPS amendment [section 40J(5)(a)]; and (c) a matter not specifically listed that a representation can be made about [section 40J(3)].
