Yesterday, the RoRo concrete slab was poured ahead of time, and it is currently in the process of being cured.
There has been a huge amount of effort put in by the crew to get ahead of schedule and to beat the weather that is predicted for today, Friday, and Saturday.
The ramp may be opened as scheduled on Tuesday, September 27th, giving it a total of 12 days to cure.
On Monday, another component of the slab will be poured, leaving x2 spaces to demolish and pour in order to finish the works.
During this time the ability to handle palletised freight (using a small forklift) and light vehicles across the RORO ramp will be permitted. The full closure applies to containerised freight which requires a larger forklift and trucks which will not be able to access around the worksite during this period.
