Flinders Council is seeking to appoint a highly motivated Works and Services Coordinator to join our team. This is an incredible opportunity to work on Flinders Island, which is renowned for its stunning landscapes, abundant wildlife, tight-knit community, and fantastic fishing.
Located just an hour away from Melbourne and a quick 35-minute trip to Launceston by plane, this position offers the chance to immerse yourself in the best of island life.
As the Works and Services Coordinator, you will provide invaluable practical and technical expertise to Council, particularly in areas such as roads and road-related infrastructure, asset management, waste management, and lead a dedicated team of hardworking Works and Services staff.
Candidates should possess previous leadership experience, ideally within the Local Government sector, strong communication skills, and the capacity for effective problem-solving.
This is a full-time, permanent position, and the salary package inclusive of work vehicle, on call and telephone allowance will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience, in accordance with the Flinders Council EBA.
