Community Outreach Event

The NRRA (National Recovery & Resilience Agency) is holding a community outreach event in Whitemark on 26th of May.

They have partnered with a number of organisations who will be available to chat to farmers, farm workers and rural contractors about the types of support and assistance that is available for them – such as financial counselling, diabetes education, mental health, dealing with the ATO, Red Hot Tips (bushfire management), Regional Investment Corporation loans and Farm Household Allowance. Hearing Australia will be present conducting free hearing checks.

In addition, Rotary will be distributing $500 vouchers to farmers, farm workers or contractors and conducting community well-being activities at these events.

A free bbq dinner will be provided.

Please share this information amongst your networks and encourage any farmers or farm workers to attend. The $500 vouchers are to be spent in the local community and will help stimulate the local economy. The program that these vouchers have been funded through is due to finish at the end of the financial year and it would be great to see as many Tasmanian farming families as possible, access these vouchers.
