Written submissions are requested when Tenders or Expressions of Interest are called for:
- contract works to be carried out,
- sales of plant and equipment; or,
- when equipment or plant is to be supplied to Council.

Tenders or Expressions of Interest documents are displayed on Council's website as well as being advertised in The Examiner newspaper as our daily local paper.
Formal Tenders will be called for when the supply request exceeds $250,000.

REQUEST FOR QUOTES
Flinders Council is seeking quotes for the following maintenance works.
Request for Quote – Roadside Mowing and Slashing
Scope of works
- Roadside mowing of rural road verges.
- Any additional Mowing of roadside verges as requested.
- Any additional hand slashing of grass around posts, poles, beneath and behind guardrails etc. on roadsides in the as requested.
- Any pruning of standing vegetation of roadside verges in the municipal area as requested.
Separate prices requested for
- Flinders Council Rural Roads, Sealed & Unsealed as per Schedule of Roads = 316.11 km
- Department of State Growth Roads
- Lady Barron Rd from Vinegar Hill Rd to Palana Rd = 28.41 km
- Palana Rd from Lady Barron Rd to Five Mile Jim Rd = 25.7 km
Request for Quote – Weed Spraying
Scope of works
- Roadside spraying of rural road verges.
- Any additional spraying as requested.
- Any additional hand spraying of grass around posts, poles, beneath and behind guardrails etc. on roadsides in the municipal area as requested.

- Flinders Council Rural Roads, Sealed & Unsealed as per Schedule of Roads = 316.11 km
- Department of State Growth Roads

Contractors must be able to supply all materials, labor and plant to undertake the maintenance work.

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (EOI)
Annual request – preferred contractors
In accordance with Council’s Code for Tender and Contracts, suitably qualified businesses are invited to apply for inclusion on Council’s Preferred Contractors Register for the provision of goods and services on an ad hoc basis.
Services may include, but are not limited to;
- building and plumbing services;
- maintenance, plant and labour hire;
- architectural and building design;
- engineering services;
- consulting services;
- financial management; as well as
- general goods, materials, parts and supplies for Council
operations.
If you wish to be entered onto Council’s Preferred Contractors Register, please submit certificates of currency, licences, JSAs and any other relevant documentation by email. There is no closing date for registration, and the opportunity to be included on the Register remains open throughout the year.
Contractors currently on the Preferred Contractors Register need not reapply. Inclusion on the Register does not guarantee engagement of services; however, registered contractors may be given preference when Council is seeking services.
