School Holiday Program
The Flinders Council School Holiday Program is open to all young residents and visitors 6 (prep grade) to 25-years-of-age.
Register for our annual program of activities and we will keep you informed of our holiday activities over the year.

Please note, some activities may provide or require transport, so check when you register. Please note some activities require participants to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
2018 SUMMER SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES
Held throughout January Surf lessons with Andrew Cole & Chris Macqueen. Commencing in the New Year Surfing Lessons will be held throughout the month of January. Surfboards & Rash Vests are provided, Wetsuits are recommended. Exact dates cannot be provided as this activity is dependant on weather.
An SMS service will alert you with details of up and coming sessions.
Cost: $15 per lesson
It is recommended that Junior surf (age 6-11yrs) are accompanied by a parent or guardian in the water to help them get the most out of the session
Emita Sports Pony Build
Thursday Jan 4th 10am-1pm Emita Hall
Come down to Emita and build a pony for the resurrection of the Kent Dale Gift at the Emita Sports 2018. All materials will be provided, so just bring your creative mind, join a team and get building!
Children under 6 are welcome to attend but need to be accompanied by a parent.
Please remember to bring a packed lunch.
Performing Arts Workshop
Tuesday 16th-Wednesday 17th Jan 9:30am-12:30pm School Gym and Art Room
Well have we got a workshop for you! As part of the lead up to the Furneaux Islands Festival Flick, Stephane and Nathan will be providing two sessions of performance workshops incorporating music, dance, story making, GIANT PUPPETS and just all round fun!

Council provides financial and staffing support for the Holiday Program, and receives valuable assistance from a number of local organisations including the Flinders Island Aboriginal Association, Flinders Island District High School.
To help improve the School Holiday Program every year, Council welcomes and encourages suggestions from its young community members. Please contact us if you have an idea or suggestion for future activities, or if you would like to contribute or volunteer.
