The Flinders Council School Holiday Program is open to all young residents and visitors 6 (prep grade) to 25-years-of-age. 

Register for our annual program of activities and we will keep you informed of our holiday activities over the year.

Please note, some activities may provide or require transport, so check when you register. Please note some activities require participants to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

2017 AUTUMN SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

Wed 19th April 2017:Session 1 Motorcycle Service and Coaching Workshop:  9.30am - 3.30pm. Located at the FIAAI Maintenance Shed. Hosted by Jay Woolley from WSM and sponsored by Flinders Island Aboriginal Association Inc.You will need your own bike, and manual if you have one.  Food and drinks provided. FREE EVENT

Wed 19th April 2017: Indigo Tye Dye Workshop with Maria La Grue. Ages Prep and over, Preps accompanied by an adult. $10 per person. Limited places, registrations essential.

Thurs 20th April 2017: Session 2 Motorcycle Service and Coaching Workshop:  9am - 2.30pm. Food and drinks provided. After lunch meet and greet from Sgt. Daniel Colqhoun from Australian Defence Force Recruitment.FREE EVENT

Fri 21st April 2017: Bushwalking and Photography 9am - 4pm. Docks to Killiekrankie.Parents welcome, children 6-8yrs to be accompanied by an adult. Transport from Whitemark provided, limited places, registrations essential.FREE EVENT

Mon 24th April 2017: Hour of Code - Game based approach to computer programming. Located a Flinders Island District High School. Places limited, registrations essential.

Wed 26th - Thurs 27th: Rollerblading hosted by Mowbray Indoor Sport n Skate. Emita hall. Primary, 'Secondary Twilight' and All Ages sessions. Kinder & Preps with an adult. $5 per session. Transport provided, limited places, registrations essential.

Council provides financial and staffing support for the Holiday Program, and receives valuable assistance from a number of local organisations including the Flinders Island Aboriginal Association, Flinders Island District High School, and Flinders Island Lions Club

To help improve the School Holiday Program every year, Council welcomes and encourages suggestions from its young community members. Please contact us if you have an idea or suggestion for future activities, or if you would like to contribute or volunteer.

The Council School Holiday program has a funding contribution from the Rural Primary Health Services Program funded in Tasmania by Primary Health Tasmania.
