School Holiday Program
The Flinders Council School Holiday Program is open to all young residents and visitors 6 (prep grade) to 25-years-of-age.
Register for our annual program of activities and we will keep you informed of our holiday activities over the year.

Please note, some activities may provide or require transport, so check when you register. Please note some activities require participants to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
2017 SPRING SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES
Monday 2nd - Tues 3rd October: Flinders Island Whirlwind Film Festival. Two workshops on making a short film, with experienced professional photographers and videographers sharing their knowledge and assiting participants to create their entry into the Flinders Island Whirlwind Film Festival. Participants will work in small groups, with the goal of creating a short film for showing at the Film Festival on the Tuesday at 5pm. Ages: Preps and over, preps to be accompanied by an adult. Friday 6th October: It’s Show Time! Come along and make your show entries! A range of stations will be set up including arts/crafts, jewellery making, painting and more! Bring along any supplies from home you may like to use. Where: FAEC When: 10am—12:30pm Ages: Prep and over. Preps accompanied by an adult. Cost: $5 Registrations Essential: SMS 0437 987 863
Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th October: Learning to MC with Philly . Award winning MC (rapper) Phillip Murray will be coming to Flinders to inspire you to make up your own lyrics to perfom over a beat. Grade 6 and over Monday 9th October 2.30pm - 5.30pm . Grade 5 and under 12.30pm - 3.30pm Tuesday 10th October, both sessions at FAEC. This is a FREE EVENT.
Friday 13th October: Rollerblading at Emita Hall . Two sessions, all ages. Kinder/Prep to be accompanied by an adult. Session One 10am –12pm. Session Two 2pm—4pm. Transport from Whitemark available both sessions. To book a seat SMS 0437 987 863. Cost: $5 Registrations Essential: SMS 0437 987 863

Council provides financial and staffing support for the Holiday Program, and receives valuable assistance from a number of local organisations including the Flinders Island Aboriginal Association, Flinders Island District High School.
To help improve the School Holiday Program every year, Council welcomes and encourages suggestions from its young community members. Please contact us if you have an idea or suggestion for future activities, or if you would like to contribute or volunteer.
The Council School Holiday program has a funding contribution from the Rural Primary Health Services Program funded in Tasmania by Primary Health Tasmania.
