Under the  Dog Control Act 2000, all dogs in the Flinders Municipality must be registered. Dog owners are required to register a dog once it reaches six-months of age. Dogs coming from outside Tasmania must comply with Tasmania's hydatids regulations.

To register a dog in the Flinders Municipality:

• Download and print out the Dog Registration form
• Fill in the details
• Send the completed form with your payment to: Flinders Council, P O Box 40, Whitemark TAS, 7255
• A dog registration tag will be posted to you once the application and payment has been received.
