Can you help shape the way the Tasmanian Government supports multicultural communities?

The Tasmanian Government is seeking Expressions of Interest from culturally and linguistically diverse Tasmanians and organisations that work with communities to fill these important roles on the new Tasmanian Ministerial Multicultural Advisory Council (the Council).

There are five lived experience positions and two organisation representative roles available on the Council. If you are a culturally or linguistically diverse Tasmanian and have a range of expertise and experience, consider applying for one of these roles. Culturally and linguistically diverse Tasmanians from regional and remote areas of the State are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics defines cultural and linguistic diversity as groups and individuals who differ according to religion, language and ethnicity and whose ancestry is other than Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, Anglo-Saxon or Anglo-Celtic.

Culturally and linguistically diverse Tasmanians that live in rural and regional areas of the state are strongly encouraged to apply.

The closing date for Expressions of Interest is 16 January 2026.
