New mobile toilet facility ready for community and emergency use
Flinders Council has purchased a new trailer-mounted double toilet facility to support our island community when and where it is needed most.
The facility will be used primarily during emergency response and recovery situations, and will also be available to support community events, activities and temporary public spaces where fixed toilets are limited or unavailable.
Having this equipment based locally means Council can respond more quickly in emergency situations and provide better amenities for community gatherings across Flinders Island.
This practical addition strengthens Council’s emergency and community support resources, helping make local events and response activities safer, easier and better serviced.
The Community Resilience Amenities grant is supported by the Tasmanian Government.
