In accordance with section 21A of the Cat Management Act 2009 (the Act), Council hereby notifies the public of the declaration under section 20 of the Act, declaring an area of land within 
the Flinders Council Municipality to be a cat management area.

The area of land to be declared a cat management area is 419 Memana Road, Whitemark (CT: 48139/1), i.e. the Whitemark Waste Facility (Tip) as shown in the red area on the map.

Trapping of cats found within the declared cat management area may occur at any time during the declared period to minimise the feral cat population. Cat traps, that are set, will be checked regularly and the following measure may be taken for a cat caught in the cat trap within the declared cat management area:

• Humane destruction of feral cats.

This declaration will take effect on the 9th February 2026 and will remain in force until the 8th February 2031.
