CASUAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Are you creative and passionate about community engagement? Flinders Council is seeking a Casual Community Development Officer to help deliver exciting programs and events for our community.

About the Role

This casual position involves:

• Planning and delivering school holiday programs that are fun, inclusive, and engaging for children and young people.
• Supporting community initiatives, and working closely to strengthen local connections.
• Assisting with community events, including occasional weekends.
• Using digital tools and creative skills to enhance event promotion and engagement.

What We’re Looking For

• Availability weekdays during school holidays and occasional weekends.
• Strong organisational skills to coordinate activities and logistics.
• Creativity and tech-savviness—proficiency in Office 365 is essential. Experience with design or digital content creation is a plus!
• A friendly, community-focused attitude with strong communication skills.
• Experience working with children, young people, or community groups is beneficial.
• A current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card or willingness to obtain one.
• A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Current full Driver’s License.
