CASUAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Are you creative and passionate about community engagement? Flinders Council is seeking a Casual Community Development Officer to help deliver exciting programs and events for our community.
About the Role
This casual position involves:
- Planning and delivering school holiday programs that are fun, inclusive, and engaging for children and young people.
- Supporting community initiatives, and working closely to strengthen local connections.
- Assisting with community events, including occasional weekends.
- Using digital tools and creative skills to enhance event promotion and engagement.
What We’re Looking For
- Availability weekdays during school holidays and occasional weekends.
- Strong organisational skills to coordinate activities and logistics.
- Creativity and tech-savviness—proficiency in Office 365 is essential. Experience with design or digital content creation is a plus!
- A friendly, community-focused attitude with strong communication skills.
- Experience working with children, young people, or community groups is beneficial.
- A current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card or willingness to obtain one.
- A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Current full Driver’s License.
